Seminar Topic Is it a Prophy, Root Planing, or Perio Maintenance?
Patients need to know and you need to know how to tell them.
Management of periodontal patients can be a neglected area in some practices. If an office is just beginning to identify and promote more thorough identification of perio problems; the dentist, hygienist, and staff may not know the best way to proceed when explaining this change in focus to patients. Even with new patients, it can be a challenge to discuss the differences among these services. Learn what the clinical differences must be, and develop the language tools necessary to get patients “on board”.
- When is a prophy appropriate?
- What should be included in a periodontal maintenance procedure?
- What documentation is needed with most benefit plans for perio treatment approval?
- Can we alternate prophys and perio maintenance
- How can we explain our recommendations to patients? (Sample Scripts)
This seminar is designed for Dentists, Assistants, Hygienists, and Business Staff.
